Zawoldo Island
Jawoldo Island is Daejang Island in Jawol-myeon. Travel attractions such as Daeijakdo Island, Soijakdo Island, Seungbongdo Island, and Saseungbongdo Island belong to Jawol-myeon, where you can nod your head just by hearing the name.
Jawoldo Island is only about a third as large as Deokjeokdo Island, but it is a representative recreational island in the metropolitan area where many tourists visit on weekends. The final destination of the ferry, which departs from Bangamori, Daebudo Island, is Deokjeokdo Island, but when it stops at Jawoldo Island, exactly half of the rooms are empty.
The island has such a solid tourism infrastructure. Public buses and pension pick-up vehicles are on standby in time for the boat, and Janggol Beach, famous for its camping spot, welcomes you with a wide spread of white sand even if you walk just 1km. When the water is drained, you can see oysters, clams, and octopus on the tidal flat.
There are as many as 11 large and small beaches on Jawoldo Island. It received excellent evaluation in terms of pollution-free first-class water quality and the health and cleanliness of the ecological environment.
The 20-kilometer circumference of the island is a suitable length for outings. Most of them are made up of hills about 100m in height, making them good for walking, and it is also fun to pedal. Six hundred 30-year-old cherry trees are planted on both sides of the 4km mountain path to Guksabong Peak (166m), the highest on the island. It is not until the end of April and early May when the cherry blossoms on land wither that the brightness of the island peaks. An island is rather attractive when it is not too large or too small.

  1. Janggol Beach
Zawol is also one of the best attractions. A 1km long and 400m wide white sandy beach spreads out in the shape of a crescent moon. It is characterized by its low depth, gentle slope, and fine sand on the white sandy beach.
  2. Mokseom Island and Anmok Island
Mokseom Island on Hanigye Beach is a small island that can be entered on foot at low tide and is connected by a cloud bridge to another island, Anmok Island. Wild flowers bloom in colonies by season to form flower gardens.

    Seungbongdo Island
Seungbongdo Island is an island where you can plan your journey flexibly depending on your plan, such as an hour away from Incheon Port, a one-day trip, or two-day trip.
It is only 10 minutes from the dock to the village, and only 93m of Sinhwangbong Peak is a mountain. Three hours is enough to go around the whole island. Eile Beach is a representative tourist spot on the island. During the summer vacation season, many vacationers flock and are crowded, but in other seasons, the wide sandy beach and clear sea become empty.
The feeling of Eile Beach is peace. As a result, it is perfect for sitting down and contemplating. Camping is also good if it’s a simple. If you look at the front of the horizon from the beach, you will find an island floating quietly. It is an uninhabited island called the “Desert of the Sea” or “Sado” because it is covered with sand. After being introduced several times through TV entertainment programs, many people visit the island to experience the unique sense of isolation and complete nature.
Behind Iile Beach is a forest bath. Walking between dense pine forests, your head seems to clear up quickly due to the effect of forest bathing. On Seungbongdo Island, you can experience the essence of the coastal terrain.
If you follow the coastal promenade, you can meet Buduchi Beach, a pond island at the end of it, Namdaemun Rock with an open middle, Fan Rock with a legend of Jangwon Class, and Chotdae Rock with its name.
Seungbongdo Island is a small island that is only a quarter the size of Yeouido. It is an island that is much more suitable for walking rather than accompanying a vehicle.
  3. Namdaemun Rock
Namdaemun Rock, a typical poem arch, is reminiscent of an elephant’s nose in a way. You can feel a very different atmosphere depending on the weather and the water. Pine trees, which have maintained life by hanging on rough surfaces and rocks of erosion terrain, also make the rocks stand out.
  4. New Huangjeong
It is a pavilion at the top of Sinhwangbong Peak and is located at the highest position in Seungbongdo Island. You can fully overlook the appearance of Beotulnae Beach, and an observatory is installed to the east, so you can enjoy a cool view of the sea.

    large-scale operation
Daeijakdo Island is an island with many modifiers. The largest grassland, the oldest rock, and the first mineral spring are all on the island. In addition, at the end of 2020, the groundwater reservoir was installed for the first time on the island in Korea, eliminating water concerns. The grass lantern, which disappears at high tide and then appears when the water fades, is also called “Pulchi,” and is a huge sand island with an area of 1.6 km에.
Grass, known as the habitat of numerous marine life, is designated as a marine ecosystem conservation area. The hard and fine sand does not get on the shoes easily, making it suitable for walking, catching clams, and enjoying sunbathing.
Daeijakdo Island was large enough to turn around on foot. Although it is only 159m high, Buasan Mountain has a cool view of enjoying the surrounding islands and seas without much effort. Observation shelters, beacon sites, and suspension bridges are installed, and roads continue to the top, allowing access by car.
There are four sandy beaches on the island. Among them, the small Poolan Beach serves as a base camp for island travel. There are many pensions and guest houses nearby, and there is also a campsite. Ships to the grass also depart from here. In addition, the deck trail runs to the eastern end of the beach, where you can see 2.5 billion years old rocks with your eyes.
